Prevention Is Key. Forget About The ‘Fix’..
February 11, 2015
“A man too busy to take care of his health is like a mechanic too busy to take care of his tools.”
The other day I was reminded by my husband about the origins of acupuncture treatment. That is, the Chinese doctor treated everyone in the village regularly while they were well, and that was when they paid him. However, when they became ill, the Dr would treat them for free as their regular acupuncture was supposed to keep them well.
We are so reluctant to invest time and thought into our health and well being today. the concept of prevention is foreign and nearly seems like too much time out of a busy schedule. It reminds me of a teenagers attitude to study. Twenty years later the thought of…if I had done a bit more…..isn’t available and the rewards are longed for then. Like a car, we should keep ourselves serviced regularly and Our concept of fixing things when they are wrong is bad health management. The smart way forward is adding things into our life that will keep us fit and well. Enough exercise, good diet, adequate rest and acupuncture, and we should meet a future full of good health and longevity.
