BREECH BABY PRESENATATION

Acupuncture and moxibustion has been used for thousands of years to turn breech babies. In most Western countries the breech position is an indication for elective c-section. Acupuncture and moxibustion is a valid option for women willing to experience a natural birth. It is absolutely safe to both the mother and child. Needles are placed in the arms legs and feet – never in the abdomen.

High success rate when patients attend as soon as they have been diagnosed as breech/transverse.

My aim is to equip the mother with moxa and show them how to treat themselves at home for 5 days following the first treatment. Then attend midwife/doctor to see position of baby and return to me on the tenth day if no movement yet.

The theory is that moxibustion increases foetal activity.
